On the occasion of the 3rd edition of the Tour of Alberta presented by ATB Financial, which will take place from September 2 to 7, Argon 18 will be greatly represented with three teams at the start line.
First and foremost, German squad BORA – Argon 18, who had success on the WorldTour circuit since the beginning in the 2015 season and just finished the Tour de France, will launch its Canadian tour in Alberta and then head east to race the Grands Prix Cyclistes in Quebec and Montreal a few days later.
Among the other teams racing Tour of Alberta, there will also be Canadian Continental team Silber Pro Cycling and American Continental team Jelly Belly Cycling presented by Maxxis, both proudly riding under the Argon 18 banner.
"Without doubt, this is rounding out to be the best field in the three years of the event. We have six teams that are in the Tour de France currently and the top professional teams on the continent, all full of good young talent,” says Tour of Alberta presented by ATB Financial Executive Director, Duane Vienneau.
BORA – Argon 18 will be associated with La Cordée, a reputable retailer specializing in bicycles and outdoor recreation. The involvement of this company is a perfect example of the business community’s growing interest in professional cycling.
