Argonaut and five-time triathlon World Champion Terenzo Bozzone took 3rd place at the North American Ironman Championship, on May 14, in Texas.

The race kicked off and Terenzo settled in the front group. Despite the humidity in Texas, he managed to get out of the swim with the group and find his rhythm quickly on the bike.

In 2nd place after the bike transition Terenzo dropped into 4th place in the run, but there was no way he was going to give up. He kept focused and about 2 miles later he was back in 3rd trying his hardest to glide to the finish, which he did in 07:25:55.

“I was pleased with how I held it together,” explains Terenzo. “I have walked away with a 3rd place at the North American Ironman Championships and have taken a big step in my progression as an Ironman athlete. I can’t wait until Kona to test myself again!”
