Canadian high-end bike manufacturer Argon 18 announced the signing of professional triathlete and Ironman Champion Matt Trautman. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, this dedicated athlete is a significant addition to the brand’s family.
Under coach Brett Sutton, Trautman has had an excellent 2015 season, in which he focused on quality over quantity. His philosophy is one of perseverance and foolproof endurance. Trautman is an athlete who never gives up and puts it all on the line.
Trautman also finished first on 3 occasions in 2015: at Coronation Double Century, IRONMAN 70.3 Incheon, and IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa. His 2016 season is promising.

Coming from the world of competition in canoeing and kayaking, Trautman has made the leap to triathlon in 2013, when he finished 20th overall and first in his age group at IRONMAN™ South Africa. The same year, he placed 2nd in his age group at the Kona World Championships with a time of 8:49:12 (30th overall). His goal? Being on the podium with the pros by 2018.
