The Philadelphia International Cycling Classic monumental race held on June 7th in the city of brotherly love was of particular significance: as many as four teams competing under the banner Argon 18 took part in the race. An historical “tour de force”, given that after more than 25 years of existence, it was the first time one could see 4 professional teams on Argon 18 bikes at work in a race as important as this one.
Indeed, the event brought together Jelly Belly Cycling, Team TREFOR – Blue Water, Silber Pro Cycling and Champion System - Stan's NoTubes. Team TREFOR – Blue Water’s Michael Olsson, and Silber Pro Cycling’s Ryan Roth, had the best results of the race finishing respectively in 7th and 8th place.
Moreover, the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic’s course is packed with great locations to watch the action and enjoy the day, including stairs leading to the Philadelphia Library, rendered famous by the statue of Rocky Balboa. The teams gathered there to immortalize this historic moment.
