Position Description

Reporting to the Director of the R&D department, you will develop new products in collaboration with various partners and consolidate Argon 18’s position among the industry leaders. You will be the master builder of a new generation of software tools bringing the latest technologies to high-performance cycling.

You are:

  2. Insightful: you understand the expectations of next generation app users and how to blend that with easy-to-use functionality for the rest of the population.

Tasks

  • Manage all phases of application development and solutions from conception to deployment and documentation, in collaboration with various service providers.
  • Act as a technical leader in the development of analysis, architecture, design, development and implementation of applications.
  • Support project management, timelines and coordination of efforts among the various members of the development team.
  • Perform quality control and validation of the product.
  • Be able to integrate new technologies (wearable, biometrics, payments, etc.) to define new standards within our industry.
  • Conduct research and identify the required product.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of software products and maintain/supply the list of functions to develop.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of software development experience
  • Relevant experience in mobile application development
  • Relevant experience in project management of software development
  • Knowledge of Lean and Agile development methods

Other Requirements

  • High level of autonomy, leadership and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and under pressure
  • Experience in programming of embedded electronics an asset
  • Ability to develop an exceptional user experience
  • Minimal knowledge of cycling and high performance sport, an asset

Technical Representative

Technical Representative

Location: Busnago, Italy

Reporting to the International Sales Director, the main tasks and responsibilities of the technical representative at Argon 18 are to give technical training, service and presentations to all types & levels of customers, mainly distributors and retailers.

  • Supply Argon 18 distributors and key retailers in Europe and Asia with technical support and service
  • Collect technical/business information during visits to distributors throughout Europe and
  • Asia
  • Prepare and support creation of presentation materials for usage at distributor and retailer level
  • Evaluate and analyze disputed warranties and complaints from the market regarding Argon 18 products and report accordingly
  • Produce content for technical advisories, FAQ’s and trouble-shooting when needed
  • Assembly of bikes on a limited basis
  • Management and maintenance of a fleet of demo bikes
  • Communicate with professional team mechanics
  • Execute marketing activities and attend events 

 

Necessary Attributes 

  • A technical or commercial certification but acting and thinking on a business level
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in the bicycle industry
  • Good skills with software to create customer-facing material (i.e. Power Point, Excel)
  • Proven technical knowledge of bicycle products and affinity with the bicycle industry
  • Good language skills in English both verbally and in writing; French/Italian are bonus
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and Asia (including weekends)

Argon18 Bikes is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable bicycle enthusiast with graphic design skills to fill the role of Graphic Designer; product. This individual would be the creative lead on all artwork for all bicycle segments and complimentary products. You would ensure that the brand signature propagates through all categories while working with a highly creative team proposing new and exciting directions for future visual languages. You will also work with Operations to ensure consistent, professional and top level quality throughout the production of the artwork ensuring that the initial design intent is reflected in the product.

Job Duties:

  • To design and maintain the complete brand language across the entire product line.
  • To design sub-language, graphic elements and icons for individual product categories.
  • To accurately research and design graphic trends and colour pallets for upcoming seasons and/or product offerings.
  • Map trends in parallel industries and can draw strategic conclusions to support proposals.
  • Provide complete documentation to manufacturing partners, communicating the design intent.
  • Work with the product team to source and design complimentary product offerings that support the brand and core portfolio.
  • Design and produce promotional products.
  • Work with critical partners developing proposals for regional solutions to support the sales force as required.
  • Support the marketing team as required to assist in print, publication and digital media (when requested).

Skills:

  • Formal graphic design training with 1-2 years’ relevant experience
  • Proficient with Adobe products including: Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of advanced colour theory, textures and finishes
  • Understanding of various manufacturing processes and technics for graphic application to a manufactured product
  • Strong communication skills: both visual and verbal
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of consumer culture
  • Passionate Cyclist a Strong plus

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Quality and Supply Chain Director, the International Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for providing quality support to distributors. His or her activity is centered on business relationships. He or she takes charge of the customer orders and ensures that the entire process, from receipt to shipment of the order, unfolds according to the standards established. He or she is also responsible for managing warranty claims, and for performing the administrative and support duties necessary for operational and sales efficiency.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with customers;
  • Inform, uncover needs, advise and direct customers to the appropriate representative;
  • Investigate and track customer complaints;
  • Tracking orders on the B2B site (transactional web site) and issuing access codes to customers;
  • Enter orders in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system;
  • Handle invoicing for exported merchandise;
  • Ensure integrity of information related to customer records in the ERP system;
  • Track delayed orders and backorders (B/O);
  • Confirm shipping instructions of customer orders;
  • Participate in the improvement of service logistics;
  • Process warranty claims according to policy and established response times;
  • Participate in the creation of sales materials: price lists and terms and conditions;
  • Prepare and send out various reports;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • DEC or university degree, or equivalent relevant training;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience;
  • High-quality customer service skills;
  • Relationship and communication skills;
  • Organizational and planning skills;
  • Excellent ability to manage priorities;
  • Quick learner;
