Position Description

Reporting to the Director of the R&D department, you will develop new products in collaboration with various partners and consolidate Argon 18’s position among the industry leaders. You will be the master builder of a new generation of software tools bringing the latest technologies to high-performance cycling.

Tasks

  • Manage all phases of application development and solutions from conception to deployment and documentation, in collaboration with various service providers.
  • Act as a technical leader in the development of analysis, architecture, design, development and implementation of applications.
  • Support project management, timelines and coordination of efforts among the various members of the development team.
  • Perform quality control and validation of the product.
  • Be able to integrate new technologies (wearable, biometrics, payments, etc.) to define new standards within our industry.
  • Conduct research and identify the required product.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of software products and maintain/supply the list of functions to develop.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of software development experience
  • Relevant experience in mobile application development
  • Relevant experience in project management of software development
  • Knowledge of Lean and Agile development methods

  • High level of autonomy, leadership and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and under pressure
  • Experience in programming of embedded electronics an asset
  • Ability to develop an exceptional user experience

R&D Analyst/Mechanical Engineer

R&D Analyst/Mechanical Engineer

Job description

Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Analyst/Mechanical engineer will contribute to the R&D team to develop new and best bicycle products and help Argon 18 consolidate its leading position in the industry. The chosen candidate must be passionate about cycling and have propensity for innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive advanced engineering tools to qualify and optimize the performances of developed bicycles and its components and support composite layup research
  • Conduct analysis of failure modes and design changes to resolve stiffness and comfort issues
  • Conduct CFD analysis to optimize aerodynamics of developed bicycle frames and components and support wind tunnel testing
  • Work with the engineering team to support on-time, on-budget delivery of new designs or technologies
  • Identify and promote the quest for new concepts, ideas, designs, technologies, process and materials
  • Create prototypes or test methods

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Three to five years’ experience with design and engineering
  • Strong experience using advanced FEA tools
  • Experience with CFD analysis et strong knowledge of aerodynamics principles
  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Creativity and solutions focused

Internal Sales Representative – USA

Internal Sales Representative – USA

Reporting to the Sales Manager, North America, we are looking for an Internal Sales Representative who will support Argon 18 in its evolution and its growing number of independent retailers.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing your territory (American East Cost and Midwest) by supporting current retailers and identifying and approaching new retailers. You will work closely with our representatives in the field to achieve our sales objectives.

This position is based in the Montreal, and much of the work is done by telephone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain a solid relationship with current retailers in order to maximize sales
  • Analyze your territory to identify potential retailers that could represent Argon 18
  • Work closely with independent agents in other to achieve sales objectives for the designated territory
  • Prepare and implement marketing plans for our retailers to enhance the Argon 18 brand
  • Analyze and report on sales growth in the territory
  • Prepare sales forecasts for each retailer and future retailer
  • Work in cooperation with other team members

REQUIREMENTS

  • DEC or AEC in marketing, management, administration or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience supporting independent retail sales in the field of sports
  • Experience working remotely in collaboration with sales teams
  • Impeccable written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel mandatory)
  • Minimal knowledge of cycling and high performance sport, an asset
  • Available to travel 2 or 3 times a year

Technical Representative

Technical Representative

Location: Busnago, Italy

Reporting to the International Sales Director, the main tasks and responsibilities of the technical representative at Argon 18 are to give technical training, service and presentations to all types & levels of customers, mainly distributors and retailers.

  • Supply Argon 18 distributors and key retailers in Europe and Asia with technical support and service
  • Collect technical/business information during visits to distributors throughout Europe and
  • Asia
  • Prepare and support creation of presentation materials for usage at distributor and retailer level
  • Evaluate and analyze disputed warranties and complaints from the market regarding Argon 18 products and report accordingly
  • Produce content for technical advisories, FAQ’s and trouble-shooting when needed
  • Assembly of bikes on a limited basis
  • Management and maintenance of a fleet of demo bikes
  • Communicate with professional team mechanics
  • Execute marketing activities and attend events 

 

Necessary Attributes 

  • A technical or commercial certification but acting and thinking on a business level
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in the bicycle industry
  • Good skills with software to create customer-facing material (i.e. Power Point, Excel)
  • Proven technical knowledge of bicycle products and affinity with the bicycle industry
  • Good language skills in English both verbally and in writing; French/Italian are bonus
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and Asia (including weekends)

RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Supervision de l’acheteuse et de la responsable logistique

  • Transfert des forecasts ventes en forecasts achats
