TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE - 2 LOCATIONS: 1) EASTERN US & 2) WESTERN US

TWO LOCATIONS: EASTERN US & WESTERN US

Reporting to the Sales Director for North America, the main tasks and responsibilities of the technical representative at Argon 18 are to give technical training, service, and presentations to all customers, including retailers and end users. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Provide technical support for Argon 18 key retailers throughout the United States. 

  • Share collected technical and business information from dealer visits.
  • Support and prepare presentation materials for the retailer level.
  • Evaluate and analyze warranties and complaints from the market, dealers, and users regarding Argon 18 products and report accordingly to warranty department.
  • Manage and maintain demo fleet; some assembly will be required.
  • Liaise with professional team mechanics and internal departments.
  • Create and execute demo and events calendar including consumer events, sales events, and information sessions with dealers and consumers.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events.
  • Work in collaboration with sales team to grow business. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Attend trade shows and industry events.
  • A technical or commercial certification, Shimano Tech certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar position in the bicycle industry.
  • Proven technical knowledge of bicycle products and affinity with the bicycle industry.
  • Ability to work weekends.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including weekends and some trips to Montreal.
  • A valid passport.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • A love for cycling.

QUALITY MANAGER - Mandate 2018-003

QUALITY MANAGER

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for quality control and quality assurance of products at suppliers/ subcontractors. His mandate is to define the quality management policy and optimize it by introducing procedures. He is a link between different actors: management, staff, customers and suppliers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

Quality Management of Suppliers/Subcontractors

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a high level of quality.
  • Determine processes (audits and indicators) and plan interventions.
  • Manage schedule of inspections of outgoing goods at factories and communicate it to the different parties (e.g.: quality agency).

Quality Assurance

  • Manage development of performance-related objectives and indicators related to quality, review of results and gap analysis.
  • Write reports for management.
  • Lead non-conformity analysis process: investigate origins and causes of defects, identify corrective actions, ensure prompt processing and follow-up with suppliers.
  • Refine the structure for inbound / outbound goods inspections and follow-up.
  • Optimize and monitor system related to quarantined products.
  • Work in collaboration with Sales and R&D departments and participate in various meetings.
  • Raise staff awareness of quality concepts and requirements (e.g.: procedures to be applied and those to come).
  • Pilot problem solving.

Staff Management 

  • Supervise Quality Coordinator in his duties.  

Management of Warranties

  • Supervise “Return Management Authorization” module in ERP system and take customer feedback into account according to the policy and established response times.
  • Lead the internal structure and tools related to the management of warranties, to better empower customer service, gain access to information and increase overall efficiency.
  • Submit warranty reports to respective subcontractors.

Quality Improvement Projects

  • Design tools/plans to improve quality/reliability and increase access to information (e.g.: “8D” form, factory sample-test document, quality waiver form, scorecard).
  • Monitor and improve quality of documentation system.
  • Participate in various quality improvement projects.
  • Develop a quality culture based on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

MINIMAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or related training.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in quality.
  • Experience in supplier management (suppliers in Asia – asset).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant technical (engineering and manufacturing) skills.
  • Knowledge of bike industry (asset).
  • Bilingualism: English and French, spoken and written; English is essential since several suppliers are international.
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Able to travel occasionally to suppliers in Asia (3 to 4 times a year).

As a marketing leader, you will act as an ambassador and you will plan, prepare, organize, coordinate and control the marketing, promotional and communication activities of the company and its products. You will work closely with the company’s various partners, sales and external collaborators.

Marketing

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies.

RESPONSABILITÉS SPÉCIFIQUES 

  • Contribuer à la conception de nouveaux produits et au développement de la vision du futur de Argon 18.
  • Prendre en charge la conception d’un produit, de l’idée jusqu’à la mise en production en collaboration avec l’équipe d’ingénierie ainsi qu’avec les différents fournisseurs.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec l’équipe de R&D afin d’améliorer constamment la qualité et les performances des produits.
  • Effectuer le contrôle et la validation des prototypes.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES ET APTITUDES

  • Baccalauréat en design industriel ou Ingénierie Mécanique avec 3 à 5 ans d’expérience.
  • Maîtrise des outils CAD SolidWorks et de la modélisation surfacique complexe.
  • Très bonnes connaissances des procédés de fabrication (injection plastique, forge, mise en forme des composites...).
  • Très bonne aptitude à solutionner des problèmes techniques tout en ayant une bonne sensibilité pour l’esthétisme et le souci du détail.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Leading the launch of new product and service offerings is the primary role of the Product Line Manager. Starting with market research and guided by organizational goals and directives, this professional’s primary goal is to work to increase revenue and customer satisfaction by delivering a range of products that will be well-received in the marketplace.

The Product Line Manager gathers data, analyzes competition, and captures customer requirements to identify gaps in a company’s offerings. He/she interfaces with management, R&D, marketing and finance to develop probability studies, return on investment analyses and delivery timelines.

In cooperation with the Product Managers, the Product Line Manager addresses critical success factors, financial objectives and key issues in determining which products to bring to market. The Product Line Manager develop a life cycle management plan to extend the business potential; and conduct continuous research and analysis of product performance. Validation of results through data analysis and recommendation development are additional tasks specific to this role.

Building business models, validating findings through data analysis and making recommendations are additional job duties typical for a product director. He/she may also manage product strategy communications, such as updates and roadmap reviews, and present findings and recommendations in a formal setting.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the product offering strategy, including preliminary forecasting cost targets and key feature benefits.
  • Develop detailed component specifications to maximize product positioning.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Calculate raw material needs based on sales forecasts.
  • Prepare purchase orders of raw materials in the company’s ERP system.
  • Follow-up with suppliers to get obtain delivery dates as quickly as possible.
  • Follow-up with suppliers to ensure compliance with delivery dates.
  • Update the ERP system when delivery dates are changed.
  • Receive and analyze purchase requests for items related to special projects.
  • Prepare purchase orders for items related to special projects.
  • Follow-up with suppliers and internal customers regarding delivery dates for items related to special projects.
  • Prepare purchase orders for items managed under ROP / ROQ.
  • Negotiate with suppliers the purchase price of certain products.

Nous cherchons une personne qui participera aux événements corporatifs de saison au Québec avec la flotte de vélos d’essais. 

Vous serez la personne ressource qui entrera en contact avec la clientèle Argon 18 ainsi qu’avec les boutiques de vélos lors des essais routiers. Possibilité de participer à des événements locaux et d’ampleur internationale. 

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

  • Parfaitement bilingue;
  • Déplacements à travers le Québec et à l’occasion en Ontario;
  • Couverture des événements boutiques et corporatifs;
  • Installation du matériel (tente, affiches);
