Gallium Pro
Official bike of Director Steve Bauer’s SpiderTech presented by Planet Energy Pro Cycling Team
With the new generation of Gallium bikes, Argon 18 has taken its design philosophy a few steps farther. Built in the same mold used to shape the new Gallium, the Gallium Pro benefits from the same technological innovations, but its carbon composite makes it 14.5% lighter.

Argon 18 Fit System
• Like the Gallium, the Pro is available in six well-conceived frame sizes for easy positioning and impeccable handling in every size.
• The range allows proper positioning of riders from 1.45 m to 2.10m tall, with inseam lengths from 65cm to 105cm.
• The 3D Headtube system offers unmatched adjustability of stem/handlebar height.

• 3D Headtube: three headtube dimensions per frame size
The 3D Headtube* is a structural extension of the headtube. It keeps the headset bearings close to the stem, maximizing rigidity and steering accuracy even when the rider chooses an upright position. With its stiffness intact, the stem/bar combination favors hard accelerations.
Three positions are available: 0mm,10mm and 20mm.
The numbers tell the story
3D structural spacer outside diameter: 52mm
Comparison with traditional spacers:
Aluminum: +44%
Carbon fibre: +58%
Increased rigidity under load
Compared to a standard 10mm spacer, a 3D structural spacer increases rigidity by 5%.
A 20mm 3D spacer increases rigidity by 11%.
Using the 3D system with no spacer places the bearing directly under the stem:
flexing is virtually eliminated

• HDS monocoque frame with larger, load-specific tube shapes
The Horizontal Dual System is a design that varies the shape and size of the various frame sections according to the stresses experienced by each. Power transfer is remarkably efficient, response is immediate.
• Compared to its previous version, the Gallium Pro is on average 20% more rigid in the bottom bracket area and in the lower frame sections generally.
• Weighing only 940 grams in medium size, the Gallium Pro is 6% lighter than its previous version, yet exhibits the tight handling and efficiency typical of Argon 18 bikes.
• By revising every tube shape and refining the carbon composite, we have improved vertical compliance, further improving comfort at all speeds.
Documents :
• Argon 18 Ga 31 Pro fork
• Built around a 1’’1/4 headset, the new Ga 31 Pro fork is designed to enhance the Gallium Pro’s characteristics; vertical compliance has been tweaked in order to ensure maximum comfort at any speed.
• While it only weighs 356 grams, this fork is laterally very rigid, which translates to clean, accurate steering, even at high speed.
Documents :
• ASP-6500 seatpost: an Argon 18 exclusive
• A reversible carbon seatpost that offers two adjustment ranges, for a regular road position or a forward, triathlon-specific 80-degree position.
• Saddle angle and fore-aft adjustments are effected separately, using two independent mechanisms. One adjustment can be made without affecting the other.
• Diameter: 31.6 mm

• 6600 HM Carbon
• 6600 HM is the result of a careful analysis of the stresses and loadings each frame section is subjected to.
• Using this data, we determined the composite content and fiber orientation. While 6600 HM contains only very fine fibers, fiber choice and layup vary according to tube shape and diameter, in order to best counter these stresses while eliminating any redundant material.
• The end result is impressive but also rare: on the road, the Gallium Pro seems to have a double personality: at an easy pace, the bike is responsive and predictable, but turn up the power, and its amazing rigidity kicks in and puts the rider into fast forward.

• Internal S3: Working with the composite layup
Size-Specific Specs principle, applied internally. Reinforcements inside the frame vary according to frame size, putting extra material only where necessary, reducing needless weight while improving stiffness for a complete power transfer.

"The Gallium Pro lets you feel the road. Every bit of it. It's a performance-oriented road bike, with a very stiff ride"
"When climbing, the Gallium Pro delivered on its promises of balance... the bike had plenty left in the tank for surge, almost teasing me with its light weight as I tried to blast over the hills"
Frankie Andreu, Procycling
«Argon 18 avec ce Gallium Pro risque de bousculer l’ordre établi avec ce cadre à la fois polyvalent et performant, pour un prix défiant toute concurrence dans ce niveau de gamme. Le vélo s’adapte à toutes les allures et à tous les niveaux d’utilisateurs, sans malmener le propriétaire.»
